All we need is a drummer

I feel horrible for being out of the blogosphere for so long. What's even sadder is the video I am posting (which is long, I apologize) was taken pre-haircut, a haircut that Annie got like 2 weeks ago (very cute dutchboy). I'm horrible. Hopefully the cuteness of this video will offset my lapse in posting. In all fairness, my freelance gig has sped up a bit recently so my free time (I say that with huge air quotes) is spent doing work I actually get paid for.
We got the book Lentil from the library recently which Annie adored. What was even cooler was that Papa whipped out his harmonica as soon as he got home from work. Annie was immediately drawn, even if she at first treated it like a kazoo and was singing whilst blowing into it. But she soon got the hang of it and brought me along for accompaniment. I think we could be big. Annie just has that stage presence that pulls an audience in, don't you think? Just think, you could say, you knew us when...
In other news, Annie is becoming quite the social butterfly (the fifth time you meet her, up until then, you'd swear she was a mute). In our mom's group, I've noticed she LOVES playing with the boys. Her favorite boy as of late is Brayden (pictured left). I think he looks like a young Joey from Friends. I'll let the similarity stop there in my mind. She's starting to get the flirting thing down, which is scaring me. Especially since she's still using the pronoun "you" to refer to herself, so I can just see her saying "You are cute," to some unsuspecting kid, when really, she's referring to herself (she does think she's pretty cute). She also continues to enjoy the written word and sometimes, in those rare moments of silence, when I seek her out in the apartment, she's more often than not curled up with a book and pretending to read. She starts every page, "One day..." Breaks my heart every time.
